Arrowhead Lodge — Brewerton, NY

About this venue

If you want a wedding that feels like a true escape into nature without the big price tag that usually comes with it, Arrowhead Lodge at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton is worth a serious look. Tucked in the woods of Northern Onondaga County, this rustic lodge sits on county park grounds and has been a CNY staple for decades. Inside, you’ve got a wall-length fieldstone fireplace, several enclosed side rooms, and a full kitchen. Outside, there’s an expansive back patio that opens up to the woods. You bring your own caterer, which keeps costs flexible and gives you a lot of control over your budget.

Why we love it

The wooded setting here is genuinely hard to beat for photos. Tall trees, dappled natural light, and that rustic lodge backdrop give you portrait opportunities that feel totally different from a ballroom venue. If you love that earthy, organic, editorial look, this is your place.

The back patio is one of our favorite spots to work with. It’s spacious, it’s surrounded by trees, and it gives us so many options for portraits, family formals, and candid reception moments.

And those enclosed side rooms? Perfect photobooth territory. Couples don’t always think about that when they’re touring, but having a tucked-away space that’s already a little cozy and separate from the main room makes for a fun, natural photobooth setup that guests actually use.
