Wolf Oak Acres — Oneida, NY

About this venue

Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida is one of those venues that you have to see in person to fully appreciate. Sitting on 206 acres along the banks of Cowasselon Creek in Madison County, the property is packed with natural features including ponds, gorges, streams, gardens, waterfalls, a woodland grove, and meadows that stretch across the land. The 8,000 square foot climate-controlled barn handles up to 400 guests and is fully furnished and equipped. Ceremony options include the waterfront, gardens, the woodland grove, and an on-site chapel, so couples have real flexibility in how they set up their day. For lodging, the property has six private Adirondack-style cottages plus a lodge, sleeping up to 76 guests on site. Day-of coordination, a decor room, an on-site shuttle, and all setup and teardown are included in the rental. Outside vendors are welcome for catering and all other services.

Why we love it

The private waterfall on the property is one of our favorite first look spots in all of CNY. It’s tucked away, completely secluded, and the natural light and water backdrop create portraits that look like they were taken somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, not Madison County. Couples who do their first look there are always blown away by the images that come from it.

The on-site coordination team is solid and keeps the day running smoothly, which on a property this large with this many ceremony location options really matters. Having someone who knows the land and the flow of the day keeps everything tight.

And the lodging situation here is genuinely special for couples who want a full wedding weekend experience. Six private cottages plus a lodge means your closest family and friends wake up on the same property the morning after your wedding and nobody has to rush off anywhere. That energy is hard to replicate anywhere else.
