Chef’s Event Center & Party House — Spencerport, NY

About this venue

Chef’s Event Center and Party House in Spencerport is a fully renovated venue that took what used to be the old Plantation Party House and turned it into something completely fresh and modern. Sitting just 20 minutes from downtown Rochester on 10 private acres, the property has a lot going on in the best possible way. The recently remodeled banquet hall fits up to 325 guests and features three walls of windows, a large dance floor, and a clean, minimal aesthetic that works beautifully as a blank canvas for whatever vision you bring to it. Outside, the landscaped grounds include a formal garden, an elegant gazebo, and a pond, and the entire property is reserved exclusively for your event. In-house catering, a designated event coordinator, and a full-service bar are all part of the package.

Why we love it

That ballroom renovation is something else. The white, light-filled space with windows on three sides gives us so much natural light to work with during the reception, and that is not something you find at most banquet halls. Clean, bright, and modern means your photos have a timeless quality rather than feeling tied to a specific era or heavy decor trend.

The gazebo and pond on the grounds give you a really lovely outdoor portrait setup during cocktail hour, and the formal garden adds even more variety to what we can work with across the property.

And then there are the highland cows next door. Yes, really. We have photographed couples with them through the fence and it is genuinely one of the most fun, unexpected moments a wedding gallery can have. Guests lose their minds over it, couples end up laughing and completely relaxed, and the photos that come out of those five minutes are some of our absolute favorites. It’s the kind of thing you can’t plan for at most venues.
